Aatifa Ahmed, M.S is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with more than 20 years of experience in acute care and rehabilitation. She serves as a Clinical Supervisor, mentoring graduate students while promoting excellence in patient care, evidence-based practice, and the integration of emerging technologies.
Aatifa specializes in traumatic brain injury (TBI), dysphagia, and cognitive-communication disorders. As a Medical Consultant, she reviews complex medical claims and educates attorneys on brain injury, rehabilitation, and evidence-based practice.
Passionate about teaching, Aatifa has developed and taught courses on traumatic brain injury and regularly presents on the medical, cognitive, and functional effects of TBI. She remains committed to staying current with advances in research and emerging technologies to prepare the next generation of clinicians. Outside of her professional roles, she has served on the Board of an Islamic Center for many years, was an active PTO board member, and has the privilege of working with refugees reflecting her commitment to education, service, and community
