Dr. Fawad A. Khan is a board-certified neurologist at Ochsner Health, a tertiary referral nonprofit health system based in New Orleans, Louisiana. He serves as the Director of the International Center for Epilepsy at Ochsner and the McCasland Family Comprehensive Headache Center. He is also an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland Medical School and a faculty member at Tulane University School of Medicine.
As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Khan’s research focuses on exploring novel approaches to improve access to care, streamline diagnostic processes, and enhance treatment outcomes. He has led and contributed to numerous quality improvement initiatives within clinical medicine. Dr. Khan has a strong passion for humanism in medicine—an element he believes is often overshadowed in today’s empirically driven frameworks. His scholarly work explores the intersections of spiritual care, patient experience, and medical ethics.
