Texas v. U.S. Advocacy Toolkit
This Toolkit includes action steps, suggested social media posts, and a 30-second informational video regarding the ACA for preparation of the Texas v. U.S. case.
How to Take Action:
Step 1: Join the National Twitter Chat #ProtectOurCare on July 9 @ 11 AM
Suggested Social Media Post: “Before the ACA, millions of people faced barriers to coverage because of a pre-existing condition like diabetes or pregnancy. We must save the #ACA and #ProtectOurCare #AMHP”
Step 2: Attend or Listen to the Texas v. U.S. Oral Arguments on July 9

Step 3: Call and Email your State Attorney General’s Office
- If they are fighting to repeal the ACA in court, ask them to drop out of the lawsuit and protect consumers in your state.
- If they are fighting to protect the ACA in court, thank them!
- If they are undecided, ask them to join the 20+ attorneys general currently fighting to protect the law.
Step 4: Participate in a Rally to Protect the ACA

Step 5: Share this Video with Friends & Family to Educate Them About the ACA
