Saber Chowdhury is a second-year graduate Public Health student at Shenandoah University with a strong interest in behavioral health, health education, and community-based prevention. As a certified Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor, he is committed to equipping individuals with the knowledge and confidence to respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges.
Drawing on experience in EMS, healthcare, and supportive housing, Saber has developed a passion for improving mental health literacy. As an instructor, he believes that early recognition and effective communication can improve individual well-being and strengthen healthier communities.
Beyond teaching, Saber lives with his wife and cat (Billy) in Virginia and enjoys activities such as going to the gym, sudoku and cooking. Saber plans to pursue a career that combines public health practice, education, and community engagement. Through Mental Health First Aid, he hopes to help create environments where mental health is understood, openly discussed, and supported without stigma.
