Madiha Abid

Madiha is an Atlanta native and a passionate mental health advocate. Madiha completed her graduate studies in social work at the University Of Chicago. She became a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor during the COVID pandemic, and has certified nearly 100 community members. She believes in a community-based approach to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. In her effort to increase mental health literacy, she sits on the voluntary board of Muslim Mental Health Initiative of Atlanta (MMHIA). In her free time, Madiha finds fulfillment in volunteering with local non-profits and spending time with family, especially her beloved niece. Her self-care routine includes trying new coffee shops with friends, spontaneous adventures with her husband, and engaging in various DIY projects
