Junaid Malik, MD

Board Member

Junaid Malik is a physician boarded in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine practicing in Dayton, Ohio, but prior was based in Cincinnati, Ohio for 19 years.  I have been part of CAIR Cincinnati and President of CAIR Cincinnati board.  Junaid has worked with IMANA and IMRC on medical missions to India and Bangladesh.  Junaid has also worked with Islamic Relief and ICNA Relief and IMRC in fundraising events in the US.  Junaid and his son established RePurpose Knowledge and 501c3 to help  under privileged children get access to computers to help in school.  RePurpose Knowledge was able to  joint venture with IMRC to bring much needed laptops to the Challenger Schools in Hyderabad India. Junaid currently the President of the board for Cincinnati Islamic School SGO, a nonprofit scholarship organization for Islamic students.     

Junaid has been on advisory boards for AztraZenca, Respironics and ResMed. Junaid leadership roles include Medical Director of Sleep labs in Cincinnati, Iowa, Nebraska and Arkansas, and Medical Director of ICU training for family practice residency program. Junaid has been a paid consultant to AztraZenca, Mylan, Boehringer Ingelheim, Glaxo Smith Kline, Verona, Jazz, Pfizer and Amgen.  Junaid was involved with patient safety project with post operative care for patients at-risk for sleep apnea, involving multiple specialties in the hospital. 

In his spare time, he is involved with coaching high school boys and girls in basketball and soccer.  He also volunteers in his local Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati on various committee including fundraising, public safety, martial arts and Ramadan.
