Mentorship
WHAT IS THE AMHP MENTOR PROGRAM?
AMHP’s high impact mentoring program is designed to develop and foster connections between diverse health professionals, and students to help advance the quality of care in the United States. As professionals, your understanding of healthcare organizations, career options, trends, professional networking, and job opportunities is invaluable to students and young health professionals. This program is designed exclusively for AMHP Members, who will be paired by association; college or employer, interests, and geographic region. Mentor and mentee determine the length of the formal relationship.
As a mentor, you can help by offering career guidance, academic advice, and wisdom gained from your personal and professional experiences. We encourage mentors and mentees to connect on a regular basis; once a month phone call, in-person meetings, or email conversations. However, the frequency and form of communication are things you both can determine.
Because matches are recommended based on member profile data, we invite all members to update their profile with the most up to date and current information.
Please log in to update your profile or sign up now to become an AMHP Member.
Application Process:
Go to AMHP Member LogIn and apply through the Mentor Program by completing the Mentor/Mentee information section. Choose to be a mentor or mentee and indicate the type of association you prefer and your interests. Matches will be made on a bi-monthly basis.
