Black Americans have been subjugated to slavery, the Jim Crow laws and segregation, a privatized prison industrial complex, medical eugenics, medical negligence, healthcare disparities, unequal quality of education, redlining, institutional racism, torture, and killings. These disparities have led to what can be best described as public health apartheid in the US.
